Our Team.

Here at LARF we work in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, with teenagers and young people undergoing treatment for cancer and leukaemia.  We help provide ancillary support, to stand alongside medical intervention.

It’s important to us that teenagers and young people aren’t just “existing” on wards and in hospitals, and that we can make their experience a more pleasant one. We do this by raising funds to assist Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, initially in the introduction of medical facilities, equipment and support specifically designed for those aged 16 to 24. This will runs alongside the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust clinical site strategy development plan, and has resulted in much better accommodation for these young people, who don’t quite fit into either adult or paediatric care.

The long-term aim is to raise funds continually, to enable RCHT to have specialist trained medical and psychiatric staff to support individuals undergoing cancer or leukaemia treatment, either within a hospital environment or as outreach community support.

There are ten trustees in all – five who are related to Lauren – Mandy Hoare, Scott Hoare, Darren Hoare, Gill Morgan and Amy Sharp – and five who are related to Rosie – Stephen Howis, Tina Howis, Charlie Howis, Terry Quick and Keith Stockham.

LARF is a 100% charitable organisation and no trustees receive any funds for the work they put in.
